Popular government MTech Civil Engineering colleges include almost all the IITs and NITs.

These colleges also offer integrated BTech MTech courses M.Tech Civil Engineering courses with specialisation in Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering, etc.

This depends on your interest and learning potential. The syllabus that is tough for you might be very easy to grasp for your friend, who finds it interesting and intriguing. For example, you may find Structural Dynamics and Advanced Numerical Analysis taught in the first year of M.Tech Civil Engineering very tough because of the high mathematical aptitude and analytical theory that it deals with. Ensure to meet the minimum eligibility requirements set by the academic institutions that usually ask you to have a B.E/BTech degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with a minimum score of 55%.

  • You must clear relevant entrance tests conducted every year for admission to M.Tech courses in India.

Anybody who has completed a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 55% marks in graduation from a recognised academic institution can go ahead and apply for the M.Tech Civil Engineering course at several reputed colleges and universities across the country.
