For NIT Delhi M.Tech admissions, GATE scores are a must. For candidates who wish to apply for the course through the centralised d CCMT (Centralized Counseling for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan.) process., NIT Delhi follows the rules and regulations of the CCMT admission process that requires a valid score in the GATE entrance examination for admission in regular M.Tech PG programme. 

However, in some instances, NIT Delhi does accept candidates without a valid score in the GATE examination. But this admission procedure can be done if some seats are vacant after GATE -based admissions, some of the vacant seats can be offered to sponsored or part-time students. It must be noted, that to secure these vacant seats at NIT Delhi requires candidates to fulfil certain eligibility criteria i.e., candidates must have a certain period of work experience, a recommendation letter, certain scores in graduation, and might need to qualify for an interview conducted by the institute.

Yes, NIT Delhi does offer M.Tech courses for two years. The institute offers several specialisations in M.Tech courses, such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc. The eligibility criteria required for admissions to M.Tech courses are candidates must qualify for their bachelor's from a relevant stream such as MSc in Chemistry/ Physics/  Material and relevant disciplines for admissions to M.Tech in Industrial Chemistry, BE/ BTech/ BSc (Engineering)/ MCA/  MSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Computing for M.Tech in Mathematics Computing, etc.

National Institute of Technology offers the M.Tech programme in several different specializations. Below mentioned are the popular streams for NIT Delhi MTech:

All 68 BTech CSE students during NIT Delhi placements 2025. The highest and average package offered to BTech CSE students in 2025 was 52.5 LPA and 18.87 LPA.

MTech CSE highest and average package recorded in 2025 was 10 LPA and 7.07 LPA. 19 students were placed out of 25 eligible students. In MTech CSE Analytics, highest and average package received in 2025 was 14.07 LPA and 8.78 LPA. Out of 30 eligible students, 21 students were placed.

NIT Delhi JEE Main cutoff 2025 has been released for all rounds. The cutoff was released for candidates belonging to the All India and Home State quota for BTech course specialisations.

Among the General AI category candidates, the last round closing ranks varied between 6610 and 34683. Among the OBC AI category candidates, the cutoff for the same round fell between 2371 and 38294. 

Apart from the General and OBC categories, the cutoff was released for SC, ST, and other categories too. In the table given below, students can find the branch-wise NIT Delhi BTech cutoff 2025 for the General AI category for the last round, sorted by most to least competitive.

BTech CSE, ECE and EEE average package recorded during NIT Delhi placements 2025 was 18.87 LPA, 15.24 LPA and 16.3 LPA. Branch-wise MTech average package offered in 2025 is mentioned below:

In BTech, the placement rate recorded in CSE, ECE and EEE branch was 100%, 68.22% and 85.71%. The highest package offered to students of these branch during placements 2025 was 52.5 LPA and INR 58.5 LPA.

In MTech, the best placement rate of 85.7% was recorded in Mathematics and Computing department. It was followed by EE (PES), ECE VLSI and CSE departments. The placement rate in these branch was above 70% and below 80% in 2025.

To gain admission at NIT Delhi, candidates would have to first appear for the JEE Main examination and then for the JEE Main counselling process. 

For the General AI category, the closing ranks fell between 6610 and 34683 for various BTech course specialisations. Therefore, a rank between this range is necessary to be eligible for admission at NIT Delhi. 

However, please note that the NIT Delhi JEE Main cutoff 2025 was published for various categories and rounds under both the All India and Home State quota; hence, cutoff will vary accordingly.
