Hi,
We would like to inform you that UPES-Dehradun is offering M.Plan in urban planning and our course work towards sustainable, equitable and orderly development. The current tools to implement these ideas are master plans, regional developments plans, city development plans, etc. Graduate will be expert in preparing the above and would contribute to development through facilitating better access to land and housing, infrastructure services and employment opportunities in urban and regional space. The target is to educate and train students with interdisciplinary knowledge and skills and ability to work from local to the regional level. Urban and regional planning will offers studios in land use planning ranging from metropolitan region to city level up till ward level plans.
Career prospects:
The programs are broadly based, with a strong vocational focus and graduates enter a wide range of planning related careers in the public, private and non-governmental sectors. Our graduates will be found working in all parts of the India and also worldwide in what is becoming an increasingly globally orientated profession. Many can be found in senior positions in central and local government, private practice and academic institutions. You can expect a hands-on approach to your studies working on projects with public and private organizations providing you with the skills you need to practice planning after graduation.
