The B.Tech direct second year admission (Lateral entry) in Maharashtra colleges are based on marks obtained in Diploma engineering courses. The basic eligibility criteria for B.Tech direct year admission is 50% marks in Diploma for general while 45% for reserved categories. Hence a very good percentage of marks are required for B.Tech lateral admission.
