For getting admitted in top most IHM, you must need a rank above 2000 in IH-Bangalore. But, in Mumbai and Delhi, you must need a rank above 500.

You can appear for the entrance exam to get admission in MBA. Checkout the exams by clicking the link below. Once you qualify theses exams, then you will need to sit for the counseling round (& personal Interview for some colleges) to secure admission in MBA. https://www.shiksha.com/mba/exams-pc-101.

Yes, Mumbai University indeed allows admission for Diploma holders directly into 2nd year of engineering. This is called as lateral mode of admission. The whole process is controlled by Directorate of technical education of the state of Maharashtra and the process is centralized and very transparent.
