No, SET is compulsory for your consideration for any SCMS.

If you have got a good score in JEE Mains then you can get an IIIT or NIT but not CSE. You can get IT and mechanical engineering.

For GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) you can pursue your higher studies from either of your backgrounds like commerce, arts, etc. Colleges offers GNM in Mumbai are:
Bombay Hospital College of Nursing
Devi Mahalaxmi School of Nursing
Future India Group Charitable Trust
Grant Medical College

Some of the institutes who prefer short-term courses in the entertainment industry in Mumbai and Pune are:
1. Seamedu: Media school and Film making Institute in Pune, India
2. Whistling Wood International
3. Film and TV Institute of India
4. Cinecraft Academy: Government institute in Pune for acting, and photography.

BITS-Pilani civil is better than BITS-Hyderabad mechanical in terms of placements, unless one is interested in mechanical. IIIT-Pune is a new and quite unheard of. So, can't be compared.
