B.E. Marine engineering course at AMET is four years of duration, The eligibility criteria and other details are given below.
1. Duration: 4 years (8 semesters)
2. Educational qualifications : A pass in Plus-two (12th Standard) or its equivalent, with minimum 60% aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry group and at least 50% marks in English.
3. Passport is mandatory.
4. Mode of Selection: Written/Personal/Medical Examination
5. Age: Below 25 years at the time of commencement of the Programme
Admission guidelines : 1. Online Application Form available in the website, candidate can fill the application form and make online payment of Rs.1000/- through Payment Gateway. Or
2. By downloading Application Form from website candidate can draw the Demand Draft (in favour of AMET, Chennai) of Rs. 1000/- and to be sent by post/courier either to the Admission Office of the AMET at Kanathur or City office at Anna Nagar. Entrance exam : The Entrance Examination will be conducted in the month of May-2020 through online mode at major cities in India. Candidates seeking Admission to the Under Graduate courses will be examined, based on the syllabus prescribed for Higher Secondary courses in the subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics syllabus plus English grammar, vocabulary and Logical & Analytical reasoning. Selection process : The candidates for Under Graduate admission will be shortlisted by preparing a Rank list based on the Marks obtained by the candidates in the Qualifying Examination together with the marks obtained by them in the Entrance Examination & Personal Interview. Hence you have to appear in AMET entrance exam first and secure a good rank.
