Hello,
Undergo 1-year duration Graduate Marine Engineering (GME) course to enter into merchant navy as a marine engineer. This course is offered by a lot of institutes approved by the Directorate General of Shipping.

Yes, you are eligible after completion of your Diploma course for B.Tech Marine Engineering and B.Tech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering) Lateral admission at Indian Maritime Universities located at Kolkata, Mumbai Port, Chennai and Visakhapatnam. You can apply. However, in UK you can finish your UG in three years. In Canada, you need to do four years. It is better to complete UG in UK and then proceed to Canada for Masters.
