Yes, you are eligible after completion of your Diploma course for B.Tech Marine Engineering and B.Tech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering) Lateral admission at Indian Maritime Universities located at Kolkata, Mumbai Port, Chennai and Visakhapatnam. The eligibility criteria are as under. Eligibility : 3-years Diploma in Marine/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 55% of marks for B.Tech Marine Engineering or 4-years Diploma in Shipbuilding Engineering from any Institute approved by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education. You can apply. However, in UK you can finish your UG in three years. In Canada, you need to do four years. It is better to complete UG in UK and then proceed to Canada for Masters.
