Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test: IMU conducts Common Entrance Test for undergraduate programs in May. HIMT Online Entrance Test: This test is conducted by HIMT across India. IIT Joint Entrance Examination: It is the examination conducted for IIT aspirants. JEE: This exam is conducted in the months of December and January. Dear Rajendra, I feel you should go for chemical engineering, as it has many openings in India as well abroad. Though it is not a new branch, it has picked up tremendously these days as a result of which many reputed universities like VIT, LPU, SRM, etc. Have started offering it. They have their different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on basis of JEE scores, some offer admission on basis of their own tests and some offer admission on the basis of both. Some even offer direct admission on basis of class 12th marks. Some of the universities also offer scholarships on basis of your performance in class 12th or JEE or even during the course. All these universities have wonderful infrastructure and world-class facilities to offer to students apart from good placements. Good luck.
