You have not made very clear as to whether you have already obtained admission or not but irrespective of this, in the life, we all have to face multiple interviews at multiple places for multiple reasons. My sincere advice to you is not to get bogged down by the negative thoughts of failing in the the interview. Passing or failing are two sides of the same coin. There are enough tricks in the market which can be learnt as to how to crack an interview for job. There are specialised Agencies who can teach you who can guide you and who can mentor you on this aspect. Getting worried about what is going to happen 4 years from today is no way of facing life. It is a branch of engineering that deals with technical aspect of ships. This particular subject is named so because of the researches conducted in the oceans, coastal regions or inland waters connected to the sea. Marine engineers are responsible for the ships technical management. They select the machinery of the ship like its diesel engines and steam turbines and gas turbines. They are equally responsible for the design of mechanical, electrical, fluid and control systems throughout the ship. In fact, they are a part of the ships crew who are in charge of the technicians and craftspeople. The role of marine engineers has widened and smoothened with the advancements in Science and technology. The career opportunities are immense in private, educational, corporate and governmental sectors. You can work either onshore or offshore. The latter is quite demanding as you have to stay away from the land for months on end. However, if a government job is what you want, Marine engineering can land you up in the Naval services. Apart from the lucrative salary and perks, it is a matter of pride and joy to serve the country in the waters. Aspirants can also get opportunities in marine metals and corrosion, renewable energy, remote sensing, offshore oil recovery, underwater vehicles and marine transportation. Starting off as a Fifth (junior) engineer, the promotions depends on the efficiency shown. Further the remuneration increases with annual promotions. However, a trainee engineer can expect around 40,000 to 50,000 per month. After gaining knowledge about the field, the salary amount is extremely lucrative. Offshore engineers even get the status of an NRI.

B. Sc in Nautical Science is a 3-year undergraduate course which is split into 6 semesters. Each year consists of 2 semesters and contains a thoroughly practical approach to all the concepts of Nautical Technology.
Whereas, Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Marine Engineering is a 4-year undergraduate course which is split into 8 semesters. Each year contains 2 terms, with each term a minimum of 6 subjects or more depending on the university.
A B.Sc. in Nautical Science fresher can take home a monthly salary of Rs. 50,000 as a deck cadet. Whereas, Entry-level junior engineers get between Rs. 25,000 60,000 per month in their training phase which depends on the company and role.
Comparing both the course, B.tech in Marine Engineering is better than B. Sc nautical science course. But, selecting a course depends on which field you are interested in.
