CU has emerged as an attractive place to pursue this course in the last 3 years. They have actually developed a lot. It is important to note that the placements of today won't matter much for you when you complete your degree after 3/4 years. Still, for the question, I would suggest that you take the data from them as their online counsellors are available for such information. The Placements for a Bachelor Degree Holders are not very high anywhere in the Private University World. CU still have better chances to give you a placement, depending on your competence, in the future.

Hi Malika,UG Courses: All candidates should pass 10+2 in any stream from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% as stipulated by a university/ college. PG Courses: All candidates should clear graduation in any stream from a recognized university with the minimum required percentage (50% - 60%) as stipulated by a university/ college. Eligibility criteria of some universities/ colleges also require candidates to be minimum 23 years or more in age at the time of admissions. https://www.shiksha.com/mass-communication-media-chp.

As per UGC NET 2019 Eligibility you are not eligible on the basis of B. M. degree only. The detailed eligibility criteria is as under.
1. Age:- He/ she must not be more than 28 years as on January 1, 2019 for applying for Junior Research Fellowship. A relaxation of up to 5 years is provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
2. Academic Qualification :- For candidates who wish to appear for NET 2019 conducted by UGC, they must clear all the defined standards. Given below is the eligibility criteria to appear for NTA UGC NET 2019:
Candidate must have scored at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST, OBC- NCL, PwD) in Mast
1. Age:- He/ she must not be more than 28 years as on January 1, 2019 for applying for Junior Research Fellowship. A relaxation of up to 5 years is provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

The jobs you may get would be more of internship and not permanent jobs. Its better to go for a slightly longer course to be able to learn in details.
