To be eligible for UG and PG courses, the candidates need to have a minimum of 45% marks in class 12th and graduation respectively. The admission to UG/PG courses at BITM (Ballari Institute of Technology and Management) is granted on the basis of the following eligibility criteria:
B.E. / B.Tech (UG): Candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as core subjects, with aggregate marks as much as 45% in consideration. For its reserved category students, the aggregate percentage has been reduced to 40%. KCET, COMEDK UGET, or JEE Main scores will be considered for admission.

The minimum qualification to attend counselling and get into Thiruvalluvar College of Engineering and Technology, for the purpose of UG courses is 10+2 with Science stream and mathematics, and the candidate should have scored not less than 50% in physics, chemistry and mathematics put together. The admission is done through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) solely on the basis of the marks scored for Class XII. For PG courses, candidates require a graduate degree with not less than 50% marks, and for admission, either TANCET score or merit is considered.

Bankura Unnayani Instititute of Engineering offers B.Tech courses in 6 specialisations. The college also offers admission to the B.Tech programme through lateral entry. Minimum eligibility for admission is 10 + 2 examination from a recognised board with physics chemistry and mathematics as subjects with at least 45% marks.
