1. Are you really keen to become a engineer or just doing it because of tradition. If its your passion, students from private universities are also placed well.
2. Finances are important to understand. An engineering degree in private university costs you in the range of 2.5 to 5 lakh a year. So if you can afford that much go ahead provided you see a good ROI.
