Hi
CBSE has already assured of taking care of marks for this year paper. In any case, if there is any error from the cbse, its their responsibility to compensate for that. So wish the best for you.

Your maths did not become weak; the difficulty level of questions was raised and you got discouraged. Do not let diffidence drag you down. Take some tuition. Once you get a hold of the concepts and gain confidence you will do good.

Afzal, maths is something that will be integrally involved in all branches of engineering. You need to dig a bit deeper and ask yourself what else you like to do. Also the choice really depends upon your rank in various competitive exams, your 12th board percentage and what you want to do after graduation.
If you like coding (C,C++), then go for CSE/IT. If you like physics, thermodynamics and engineering drawing, go for Mechanical/Civil. If you are fascinated by the electrical circuits and are the one who fixes the fuse in your house, then go for Electrical Engineering. Introspect day and night and find out which of these you like.

If you want to go for bank exams then you can choose to pursue B.A. as electrical engineering will not help you in banks exam and BA is good for pursuing MBA also. If you are interested in Engg then only you should go for it otherwise there is no use of pursuing Engg. Also for bank exams minimum Graduation is required for PO exams and diploma is not equivalent to it. Better option is BA. But in bank exams you have to prepare for maths also because it is being asked.
