While basic higher mathematics is important for computers and adds value to it but computer science or application is more of a skill so you can do BCA if that interests you.

Hi Aniket,
It's unfortunate that you have not cleared your 12th and have landed up a compartment in Chemistry and Maths.
There are various career options available these days. However, I would recommend that you first do away with your compartment exams as it is very crucial for moving ahead towards acquiring a good course and enhance your studies.
In order to get past a reputed college and a feasible course, ensure that you crack these exams to the best of your capability.

yes.but you can't go for engineering courses.
you can join private institutions for just learning computer courses like aptech, jetking etc.
you will be only given certificate for learning the contents of the course but you will not get any degree.

Delhi university has the criteria of maths with 60% to be eligible so you hv to show maths in best four. If you are talking about any other university please specify or go through their brochure carefully.

To pursue regular BCA course you need to have math in 12th standard.
Nonetheless, few distance learning universities offer BCA without mathematics compulsory in 10+2.

IBM Mainframe courses offer opportunity to program on Mainframe. Course content is concepts on MVS, JCL, VSAM , CICI , DB2,COBOL etc . There is shortage of Mainframe programmers as Computer Science graduates want to work on new technologies of Java and Microsoft etc. Majority of training Institutes provide training on only simulated environment. If you plan to do Mainframe training select an Institute which provides hands on training on Mainframe. You can do course after BSc Maths easily.

This is the common dilemma faced by students who are completing 12th. What option to choose for further education after 12th. Your next degree by and large will decide your career options. First of all understand that not cracking JEE in not end to your career.
