In DU, admissions are done on the basis of Best Four Subjects' Marks or BFS Marks. BFS is calculated by choosing best three marks of your subjects of 10+2 and including English/Hindi.
Now, admission in Maths (H) in DU depends upon your category and the college you wish to go for. The following are minimum required Best four Subject Marks Percentage required to take clear cutoff, the lowest observed.
North Campus Colleges:
General: 94%
OBC: 92.5%
SC: 88%
ST: 85%
South campus Colleges:
General: 90%
OBC: 86.5%
SC: 84%
ST: 82%

Yes, the University of Kashmir, South Campus is a good place to pursue an M.Sc. in Mathematics.
It is a good college but management is not good. In short, it's the best University in Kashmir. I am motivated and satisfied here every time because of the good teachers, the good environment, etc. So, you are suggested to go through the student reviews on the Shiksha website before taking a decision.
