Maths is not compulsory to get admission for BBA in any college.

For securing admission into IIT pure sciences & Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta, there are separate open tests that need to be cleared. Most of the other universities allot admission based on merit linked to scores in 12th standard.

The best institute for him would be IITs. He can appear for JEE and based on the JEE score seek admission in pure sciences in IIT.

If you do not meet the eligibility criteria, then you can not get admission for B.Com maths is compulsory for this program in DU.

It will indirectly affect your career. It's not necessary to score very good in mathematics. Commerce is useless without mathematics but it will be a little better if you opt for it. Practice makes a man perfect. So even if you are not good with it just keep practicing. If you do not score well or keep on giving backs then it is not advantageous.

For BBA, you do not need maths in your 12th. But please check the prospectus of the course provided by the college once to get all the details regarding eligibility, admission procedure, etc.

The cut off goes higher every year. So look for the cut off of the last year for your category as it will help you set up your target. You should not aim for reaching the cutoffs, aim for rank also.

Yes, you can apply. It would enhance your skills but after B.Sc, try to go for M.Sc as there are many job opportunities after M.Sc. Maths from a regular college.
