Syllabus of the three-year BCA course includes subjects involving computer languages, database management, operations systems, logical analysis, software design and client server technology.

Do you belong from commerce stream? If yes, then, I am sorry. You can't go for software engineering. You need to opt for Science fields after your 10th. Thank you.

You should go for B.Tech which will help you to be an IAS officer because there is 5% quota for B.Tech students in IAS. So, you should opt for B.Tech. All the best.

I don't think there will be any problem regarding the provisional admission just because of an optional subject but it is completely on the discretion of the college or university.
