MBA Admission

 Students are required to pass the selection criteria for MBA admission which is based on merit scores obtained by the students in any of the one exam among MAT, XAT, CAT, CMAT, MAH CET, ATMA, SNAP, SMAT, GMAT, NMAT which are exams accepted by various colleges which are affiliated with MU.

The University of Mumbai also offers various programmes in the field of Management at the Post Graduate level, such as MBA, Master of Management Studies (MMS), Master of Financial Management (MFM), Master of Human Resources Development Management (MHRDM), Master of Financial Services Management (MFSM), Master of Information Management (MIM) . To get admission to any other these courses the student must pass the minimum eligibility criteria set for that course.

Admission procedure of MBA in North Bengal University-

1. andidates are required to complete a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any discipline (except performing and fine arts) from a recognised Indian University or Foreign University (As per University Norms) with a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate (5% relaxation will be given to the reserved category candidates).
2. Final year students awaiting results may also apply, nevertheless, their admission will be treated as purely provisional. Before the commencement of the first semester examination they have to obtain the requisite qualification as stated in point (1), otherwise their candidature may stand cancelled.
3. Candidates fulfilling the above mentioned eligibility need to appear for the Entrance Test (100 marks) i.e. NBUMAT & score minimum 50% (5% relaxation will be given to SC, ST, OBC candidates), conducted by the Department of Management, University of North Bengal. Candidates having valid scores of CAT / XAT / MAT / CMAT / GMAT / ATMA / WBJEMAT are however exempted from appearing in the aforementioned Entrance Test.
4. Qualified candidates of NBUMAT and candidates having valid scores of CAT / XAT / MAT / CMAT / GMAT / ATMA / WBJEMAT entrance tests as stated in point 3 will appear for the final selection process. The final selection process will comprise Group Discussion (GD: 25 marks), Personal Interview (PI: 25 marks), Essay Writing (25 marks) & Extempore (25 marks).
5. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored in GD, PI, Essay Writing & Extempore by the candidates. Any tie on the score sheet may be resolved by considering the score up to three places after the decimal point.

Generally the CAT/GMAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/IIFT etc. are conducted much before the final semester exams of most undergraduate courses. Candidates are also eligible in some of these exams from their second last semester which gives them enough time to ponder over their choices based on the scores obtained. The couselling also takes place immediately once the results of the exams are out. Candidates  who are expectant to get an admission but are still not done with the final semester exams are required to upload provisional marks so as to continue with the counselling. This option is readily available across all counselling procedures. They can get admission based on that provisional marks. But once the final semster is done and the actual marks and percentages are out, candidates should immediately update the same with the counselling authority. 

To take admission to the University of Leeds MBA, the entry requirements are given below:

• More than 3 years of postgraduate work experience is required (5 years of work experience is usually desirable)
• A good bachelor’s degree
• GMAT score is not required, however, if your qualification is below 2:1 (Hons) or overseas equivalent or you don’t have a formal or professional qualification, then you will be required to submit GMAT with a minimum score of 600
• IELTS (6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in any component) / TOEFL or PTE scores can also be submitted (Depending on the state board if students have 70% or 75% in Class 12 English, then the English language requirement can be waived off
