B.A. (Hons.) in Psychology - Batch of 2023

Great placement, average hostel life, and a big campus .
Placements: Around 75 percent of students were placed. The highest package, if I remember correctly, was around 10 LPA. Companies that recruited were mainly from the engineering department. Companies included business from Punjab, Amul, Amazon, Computer appliances, etc. In our course, I think the percentage of students getting placed was relatively lower but some got placed in companies as HR or clinical psychologists.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are very clean there are helpers on every block and every floor. The bathrooms are also very clean. The block is very big so I'm impressed that they even manage to keep it clean every day. Hostel foods are unexpectedly good; they serve non-vegetarian food once a week.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are really cool and fun, while others may not. The difficulty of the exam depends on your course. B.A. courses are relatively easier than engineering or medical courses in MST 1 and 2, and the passing marks are around 7 or 8, with 20 being the full marks. In the end-of-term exam, the full marks is 60 and you have to get around 23 to pass other factors, such as assignments and practicals, also play a role in your performance.
Other: I chose psychology because it has been my choice since early teenage years. Internships should be a regular thing in psychology courses, as that's how students will learn about real-life applications. There is a Cu Fest every year and other events keep happening at the university. The campus is huge so you can join other blocks events as well dance competitions, cultural festivals, concerts, etc.

The college is not so good and not so bad. You can join.
Placements: Placements here are not top-notch but are satisfactory as compared to other colleges. Most of the major companies do visit the campus. A joint venture is also held at the college. Other colleges also participate in the college placements. So if you work hard, you can make it to a good company.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the BE CSE is average. It must be upgraded according to industry standards so that it will help increase the efficiency of the students so they can get the placement more easily. Hostels are AC and non-AC, both in the college. The rules of the hostel are also not very strict.
Faculty: The faculty here is above average and the exams are held twice for the midterm; one practical is also held in between these. There is also a continuous evaluation of the internal. There are different aptitude and soft skills classes in each semester to improve the skills.

Chandigarh University : Things to consider before admission.
Placements: There are over 10000 students in the 1st year alone. The competition is really high. The quality of education is not that on par with the current market trends. There are many excellent teachers but honesty many of the faculty is outdated. The computers in CAD and ITPS labs are top notch but can't say the same for Physics and other labs. What I hate the most is the administration of the college. The 75 percent attendance criteria makes your college life a living hell.
Infrastructure: Don't fall for the term, Fully Wi-Fi campus. The Wi-Fi access is only limited to the staff and faculty/ The infrastructure is awesome I will give points to that. The hostels are average. Students are always complaining about the food quality. The rooms are small and you need to adjust with 3-4 other people.
Faculty: Most of the faculty is not upto the mark. A few teachers are awesome The course is not well planned. The curriculum is not relevant to the industry standards. You will have to work hard a lot on your end to make it to the placements because if you stay with the students you can forget your placements.
Other: Do not fall for their marketing. When I first saw and read about it I was quite impressed about the college but now that I have enrolled in it I know how the course is. Go to some NIT electrical or whatever.

Good for enjoying College life.
Placements: Placement are good as per the records the highest placement was 54 LPA something this year also a canadian company has given 47 LPA offer to cu Student. Major companies visit the campus for the placements. TCS Wipro also visit the campus for mass recruit.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good all the classrooms are slowly covering into fully AC ones within a year all the will done. The is projector in all the classes and labs are equipped with good facility to provide the knowledge. The hostel facility is available in the college.
Faculty: Faculty members are good but there are few who have less knowledge and the Exams happen twice for mst and one est. There are two practical for the session exam. The curriculum is not the most updated one but make the work done so you need to study on your own.

The best private university.
Placements: The placement offered by Chandigarh University is quite good, as the average package offered is INR 10–15 lacs per annum and companies like IBM, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more come to hire in bulk for good job roles with internships as well as the job itself.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is too good, as the classes are fully air-conditioned with smart classes and Wi-Fi availability, and every building has its own library with a specialization. The hostels are also good in every aspect, like food, services, and many more.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is good and educated in the field of their specialization; they help to solve every doubt of us when needed and the curriculum is distributed in a very planned manner for the topics to be studied with the proper exams scheduled for MST 1, MST 2 and the final exams.
