Candidates seeking admission for PGDM/MBA at IBA, must meet the course-specific eligibility criteria. Aspirants must pass graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for reserved category) from a recognised university.  The selection of the candidates is entrance-based. Candidates must present the relevant documents supporting their eligibility. Students in the final year are also eligible to apply. The university accepts scores of CAT/ XAT/CMAT/ NMAT by GMAC/ MAT/ ATMA/ GMAT and others.

VESIM maintained simple criteria for MBA admission for those candidates who have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50 % marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC category). Candidates must also have appeared for any of the following entrance exams: MAT with a 400 composite score, CMAT with a 40 percentile, XAT 40 percentile MAH CET 40 percentile or CAT 40 percentile. The admission criteria for MBA programmes in The ICOAI University, Nagaland, are that a candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in any field with 45% or above marks for general category students and 40% for SC/ST students.
