A candidate desirous of seeking admission in Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchihave to appear in an all India level management admission test. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, Common Admission Test conducted by IIM Ahmedabad, and (CMAT 2017) conducted by AICTE, New Delhi are the only approved examinations through which a candidate can apply to XISS Ranchi.
You are not eligible to seek admission in XISS based on MAT score.

Your grade 12th marks will effect your acceptance a little. You should be able to prove that you are more than your grade 12 marks by your skills and knowledge in the interview. Before all that, you need to perform exceedingly well in your CAT to get an interview call.

To become eligible, first of all, you should do your graduation and pass CAT, CMAT, SNAP, XAT to get admission in top B-School and now you can give your entrance exam in the 3rd year.

Every year, IIMs announce their CAT marking scheme. Marking scheme announced for CAT 2016 had 3 marks for every correct answer and 1 mark deducted from your credit score for every wrong answer. The exception is Non-MCQs where your wrong answers will not impose penalty ofnegative marking.

Hello Ipsita,
I would give you the suggestions on the basis of my experience , so you can consider them to be true and implied.
1) Start reading English newspaper. Not only front page (boring ) news, but every part of the newspaper. yes I mean those Bollywood, Hollywood, stuffs too. That will improve your vocab as well.
2) Follow Foreign You tubers. Watch their as many videos, as many times, as you can! Try speaking at the same pace they are speaking, first by reading the subtitles, then without subtitles.
3) Start conversing in English with your friends, relatives etc on calls (this helped me the most)

Hello Shrishti,
Both CAT & UPSC exams have a different level of difficulty. Don't get confused. Know what you want to do. Since you will require complete dedication to clear either one of them.
Go through the syllabus thoroughly and then decide.

Well, management quota admissions are available. You can filter the college list and then enquire if they are taking admission through management quota.
I would suggest you to write few entrance exams though.
