It is healthy enough, but mainly few top tier I colleges participate in September, December, February and March also. It is tough to get a good college through May MAT, as this is the exam of the last session.
You have not mentioned your area of interest in finance, it is core finance (derivative analyst, credit analyst, actuary, risk management, business analyst eg. Merger& Acquisition, investment banker) or financial product sales (insurance, mutual fund, corporate credit sales, demat account sales).

With this score, you can hardly get admission in any good college. Its better if you give a shot to good individual/state level entrance exams which are being conducted every year by various institutes/states for students who don't meet national tests score criteria. You can appear for TANCET MBA test conducted by Anna University, UPESMET test conducted by UPES University, KMAT etc.
Last dates to apply for these exams are very close like last date to apply for UPESMET is 5th March, 2016 while for TANCET its March end. So, apply for these as soon as possible and start your preparation.
