Both are equivalent to an MBA. The major difference being the affiliation. MMS is affiliated to Mumbai University whereas PGDM to AICTE. There is a bit of difference in the syllabus as well.

You have to go through the DTE procedure for securing admission through MAH-CET. Keep yourself updated with the various deadlines notified at the DTE website. The process starts with documents verification. Then there are generally 4 rounds of college allotment wherein you can freeze, float or reject the allotted college subject to certain conditions.

ASB offers MBA and not PGDM. There are multiple eligibility criteria's to be taken care of for joining MBA at ASB. Other criteria's include your CAT/XAT/GMAT/GRE and your performance in the interview. MAT scores are accepted in all other campuses except ASB, Coimbatore.
So, we highly recommend, you contact us with your CAT/GMAT/GRE/XAT score at asb@cb.amrita.edu. We will let you know your eligibility based on your scores.

You need to practice more questions. Better to join a test series to get the feel of exam. You need to target at least 95-96 percentile to get a call from IIMs.
Best of Luck.
