MBA Entrance Exam

CAT is a computer based test (CBT), which has 3 sections:

• Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
• Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
• Quantitative Ability (QA)

Plus, each section has specific time limit and candidates cannot witch between sections during the allotted time. The questions in CAT are MCQ and non-MCQ (Type in the Answer ot TITA).

The total duration for exam is 120 minutes, with 40 minutes alloted to each section and the total number of questions are 68 which is subject to vary. 

Marking scheme:

• +3 for correct answer
• -1 for each incorrect answer
• no negative marking for TITA questions

JIS College of Engineering accepts the exam scores of various entrance exams for admission to its two-year MBA course. With this score in the entrance exam, you have very few chances of getting admission to NIMIMS. The last round NMAT cutoff in the year 2024 (General All India) was 248, and the same was in 2023. So as your score is quite low and the difference is huge, your chances are less. However, any guaranteed statement cannot be given as the cutoff varies every year according to the seats intake and demand. You are advised to wait for the final cutoff list and reappear for the exam or go to any other institute if you don't get selected.
