It is your choice whether to take CMAT or not. You can apply through MAHCET conducted by DTE for most of the colleges in Maharashtra. For the list of colleges, please go through DTE websites. You can appear in DTE procedure by applying through CMAT also but you will be treated as All India Candidate. If you take CMAT only, you will be able to apply for PGDM also by applying to respective colleges.

Hey Ankita,
Yes only MAHCET 2017 is enough for most of the colleges. After that, you will have to go through DTE procedure, CAP rounds will be there. For the list of colleges that come under this procedure, please go through the DTE website. You will be treated as OMS candidate and rank will appear as All India Rank. You will not be able to avail any caste benefits.

You can apply for BIMM-Pune, NIBM-Pune, Kirloskar, Welingkar, Christ, ITM-Mumbai. If you don't have gap>1 year in your studies than you can re-appear for MBA entrance, this year and improve your score.
