There is no difference between the registration process of CBT, PBT and IBT modes of MAT. The application form for MAT CBT, PBT and IBT is common. The candidate has to register at AIMA website with their personal details for MAT and fill an online application form in which the option to choose the exam mode will be given. Candidate will be required to select the exam mode of their choice and the select test city as per the list given. Candidates can select more than one exam mode in single form, but they will have to select test cities (no selection to be done in case of IBT exam) accordingly. Yes, it is mandatory for all qualified students to attend the document verification round as part of the ATMA counselling process. During the document verification process, they need to present their original documents and photocopies for verification and provide their biometric details.
The purpose of document verification is to make sure that the student is eligible for admission to the selected course and avoid fraudulent activities. Those who do not attend the document verification round will be marked ineligible from the admission process through ATMA scores. Such students will not take part in the seat allotment round also.

ATMA counselling is conducted for those who have cleared the exam and have secured a rank in the merit list.
- The student should have qualified for the ATMA exam by obtaining the minimum qualifying marks
- Students should have completed their graduation from a recognised university or institution.
- The student must be an Indian.
