According to me, finance and marketing are the best options for you. You can even go for dual specialization with both branches.

There is still a good scope for MBA IT graduates. MBA IT prepare students for Pre-Sales support, Sales & Marketing, Account Management and Business Analysis roles in IT industry. But such graduates also will compete with normal MBA from good colleges for these roles.

If you have done MBA distance learning from a recongnised university, then you are eligible for seeking admission in PhD. You can also do PhD by distance learning from IGNOU.

Admission in IIM is open for all brilliant students from all type of universities and colleges provided they meet eligibility criterion and score high in CAT examination. Students from top colleges may have some perceived advantage during GD & PI.
