As far as I know, till date for academic year 2016-17, total about 760 plus students have been placed in different companies. Many IT, CORE companies come for placement in our college having satisfactory annual packages. For Mechatronics Branch:-
There is a 100 % placement record of this college. The average package provided by this college is 4 lacs. The highest package provided by this college is 33 lacs. Even this year several high profile packages have been offered to IT and CS branch students and also Mechatronics branch. Hello Tejas,
It is difficult to compare and say which is better since both have their own pros and cons and are better in their own way. Mechatronics engineering involved electronics and instrumentation concepts along with mechanical concepts and hence it is designed in such a way to suit the future needs of the industries. While purely mechanical engineering is the base for any component to work efficiently and you cannot study these courses in any of the other branches. So, I would suggest you to take any course that interests you a lot. And if you are ready to go with any of these, then my choice would be mechatronics engineering. Ch

Hi,
There is no 100% placement in any colleges ideally. As many students go for research or higher studies and don't appear in the placement. However, those who appear most probably get placed in mechatronics department. Therefore, placements is good in this branch.

Placements of mechatronics engineering in Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology University is best and had an average package of 5 lakhs per annum. Last time recruiters were Dell, Amazon etc.

Usually, it depends on the college and Industry requirements. But generally, B.Tech is enough for job and Masters is usually pursued to only pursue Ph.D.

There is no specific way to find a job. You have to aware with different resources and have to be updated with the latest recruitments. Strong demand exists from large global enterprises in automotive, aerospace and consumer products industries and in smaller innovative high tech companies supplying software parts and equipment. Mechatronic engineers may also be employed by product developers, manufacturing, mining or forestry industries, aerospace and defence, government and industry research groups.
