With 596 marks in NEET, you stand a good chance of getting admission to a decent medical college, but your eligibility may be influenced by your HSC marks and PCB aggregate of 40%. Many top government colleges require a higher percentage in the 12th-grade PCB subjects, which may limit your options. However, the private medical colleges can be very flexible with respect to marks, and some take students based purely on NEET scores. Explore options in private institutions, management quotas, and deemed universities. Always research specific colleges and their criteria to determine what will best fit you.

The admissions to the government medical colleges in India are made through three main rounds of counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). These are: the first round is the All India Quota counselling, and the second is the state-level counselling for the 85% state quota seats.

Yes, you might be able to get a seat in a BHMS branch in a government college in Maharashtra if you scored 190 marks in NEET and belong to the SC category:
The NEET 2024 cutoff for BHMS is 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
Some medical colleges accept candidates with scores around 200 marks in NEET for courses like BHMS.
