Kerala NEET 2022 Counselling: Round-2 Seat Allotment Result (Released), Dates, Eligibility, Fee Structure

Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Thiruvananthapuram has released the final seat allotment list for round-2 Kerala NEET 2022 counselling on November 24, a day after the provisional result. The seat allotment final result for round-2 counselling has been released based on option registered by candidates from November 10 to November 15. Around 5, 563 candidates have been selected for seat allotment in round-2 Kerala NEET 2022 counselling. Candidates need to report to respective institutes till November 28 for documenet verification. 

Seat allotment result for Kerala NEET 2022 counselling round-1 was declared on October 26. CEE had started registration cum choice option for Kerala NEET 2022 counselling round-1 on October 19. A rank list was released based on the marks on October 15.

After submission of NEET 2022 marks and rank list, candidates have to fill choices for course and college. The seat allotment list is released based on choices filled, rank, reservation factors etc. CEE conducts the counselling for allotment of 85% state quota seats. Rest 15% All India Quota seats will be allotted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

The counselling for Kerala NEET 2022 will be conducted through the online Centralised Admission Process (CAP) in three phases including a mop-up round. A total of 3,182 MBBS and  2,077 BDS seats will be allocated through Kerala NEET counselling 2022.

Kerala NEET Counselling 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Nativity:

  • The applicant must be a citizen of India. PIO/OCI can also apply for the counselling of Kerala NEET 2022, however, such candidates will not be eligible to claim any reservation.
  • Keralite: All candidates who are domiciled in the state of Kerala will be included in this category. Children of officers in All India Service (AIS), deputed in Kerala will also be considered in this category, however, such candidates will not be eligible to claim any reservation.
  • Non-Keralite Category I (NK I): A candidate who falls under this category can apply for Kerala NEET counselling 2022 but will not be eligible to claim any reservation. To fall under this category, a candidate must fulfill any of the following requirements:
    • A candidate who has passed class 12 from an institute in Kerala and whose parent(s) is a Government of India employee (currently posted in Kerala)
    • A candidate who has passed class 12 from an institute in Kerala and whose parent(s) is a Government of India employee, who has served in Kerala for a minimum period of two years
    • A candidate who has been a resident of Kerala for five years (during his/her school years)
    • A candidate who has completed Class 8 to 12 from an institute in Kerala

Kerala NEET 2022 Counselling Process

Online Application Form:

To participate in the counselling of Kerala NEET 2022, a candidate has to register on the official website of CEE. To complete the registration process, a candidate will have to provide a valid email ID and mobile number. It is advised that they use the same email ID and mobile number that was used to register on the official website of NTA. Note down the login credentials generated after completing the registration process.

Using these credentials, the candidates can login to their registered accounts and complete the application form for Kerala NEET counselling 2022. They are also required to pay a non-refundable counselling fee to complete the online application form. The application fee can be paid online using a credit card/debit card/net banking credentials. Candidates can also opt to pay the application fee offline through an e-challan, which can be deposited on any Head/Sub Post Office in Kerala.

Kerala NEET Merit List 2022

Kerala NEET merit list will be released online. The merit list for admission to Kerala MBBS/BDS admission comprises application number, NEET marks, NEET rank, and State rank of the candidate. Those who will be included in the merit list will be eligible to participate in the Kerala NEET counselling 2022. This merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in NEET 2022 and the category of the applicants. The State Merit List will be the basis of the allotment of the state quota seats.

Centralised Allotment Process (CAP)

This process can be divided into two stages: Option registration and seat allotment

Option Registration: Candidates choose the institute/course they wish to apply for from the list provided on the official website of CEE. They can choose as many options and register them before the deadline.

Seat Allotment: Taking into consideration the choices filled by the candidate and his/her ranking in the state merit list, CEE will allot the seats to the candidates. The list of selected candidates is called as the seat allotment list.

Reporting to the institute

Selected candidates, who wish to continue with the seat allotted to them, report to the respective institute for confirmation of their admission. Their documents will be subjected to a thorough verification and their admission will be confirmed only when the authenticity of these documents is established.

Candidates must also note that the tuition fee for private medical colleges in Kerala is almost 25 times that charged by the government medical colleges.
