The Kerala NEET 2025 Counselling Round 2 option confirmation or rearrangement was conducted from September 15, 2025, to September 23, 2025, 11 AM. The provisional seat allotment results was declared on September 24, 2025, and the final results will be out on September 25, 2025, respectively. As many as 6,326 candidates have been allotted seats. The institute reporting process will be conducted from September 26, 2025, to September 30, 2025.

Only those candidates who appeared and qualified for NEET 2025 are eligible to participate in the Kerala NEET 2025 counselling. Prior to that, candidates must have registered for the Kerala NEET UG counselling 2025.

The Kerala NEET 2025 counselling is being conducted for MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses, such as BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS, and BSc Nursing, offered in the state of Kerala. Before the commencement of the process, CEE Kerala will release merit lists based on NEET scores, and only those whose names are on the merit list will be eligible to participate in the Kerala NEET counselling 2025.

Q:   What is the duration for each round of Kerala NEET Counselling?
A: 

Based on the previous years' trends, it is expected that each round of Kerala NEET 2025 counselling will be conducted for a duration of 10 to 15 days, or approximately two weeks. The Kerala NEET counselling will involve processes such as registration, choice filling, release of merit list, processing and release of the seat allotment result, followed by document verification and institute reporting. The schedule for each round of Kerala NEET Counselling will be released separately. 

Q:   Who conducts the Kerala NEET counselling process?
A: 

The Kerala NEET counselling process is conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala. It is the state-level admission authority for Medical, Dental, Pharmaceutical and other streams in the state of Kerala. CEE Kerala conducts the counselling process for medical, pharmaceutical and allied courses. While the registration process for the Kerala NEET 2024 counselling has already started, even before the conduct of the NEET UG exam, The application dates is same for the KEAM exam application dates. However, the other processes of the Kerala NEET counselling, such as release of merit list, choice filling and seat allotment result are done by CEE Kerala after the declaration of the result. 

Q:   What is the schedule for Kerala NEET counselling 2025?
A: 

The schedule for the Kerala NEET counselling 2025 is announced separately for each round. The Kerala NEET 2025 counselling registration process was conducted from February to March 2025, and the window was reopened after the NEET 2025 result declaration. The provisional rank lists were released on July 25, 2025. In general, the overall duration of Kerala NEET UG counselling is three to four months.

Kerala NEET 2025 Counselling Process

The step-by-step process to participate in the Kerala NEET counselling 2025 is given below.

Online Application Form:

To participate in the counselling of Kerala NEET 2025, a candidate had to register on the official website of CEE. To complete the registration process, candidates must have provided a valid email ID and mobile number. Candidates are advised to use the same email ID and mobile number that they have used to register on the official website of NTA NEET. The login credentials generated after completing the registration process must be saved and preserved till the admission process is completed.

Using these credentials, candidates can log in to their registered accounts and complete the application form for Kerala NEET counselling 2025. They have to pay a non-refundable counselling fee to complete the online application form. The application fee has to be paid online using a credit card/debit card/net banking credentials.

Uploading NEET 2025 Scores

The steps to submit the NEET 2025 result at the CEE website for the Kerala NEET counselling 2025 are given below:

  • Visit the CEE Kerala website – cee.kerala.gov.in 
  • Click the link ‘KEAM 2025-Candidate Portal’ and provide the KEAM-2025 Application Number and Password to enter the Home Page of the candidate.
  • Click on ‘NEET Result Submission’ and provide NEET (UG)- 2025 Roll Number, NEET (UG)-2025 Application Number and NEET (UG)- 2025 Password or Date of Birth.
  • Verify the details shown on the screen such as Candidate Name, Father’s Name, NEET 2025 Score, Percentile, AIR, etc.
  • If the details are correct, click the ‘ Verified and Submit’ button.
  • Take the printout of the ‘ NEET Result Submission Report’ and keep it with the candidate for future use.

Kerala NEET Merit List 2025

The Kerala NEET provisional merit list or rank list has been released online. The merit list for admission to Kerala MBBS/BDS admission comprises of the application number, NEET marks, NEET rank, and State rank of the candidate. Candidates whose names will be included in the merit list will be eligible to participate in the Kerala NEET counselling 2025. This merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in NEET 2025 and the category of the applicants. The State Merit List is the basis of the allotment of the state quota seats.

Option Registration

The option registration or choice filling is the next step of Kerala NEET 2025 counselling. Candidates have to follow the steps given below to register for options or submit seat choices for Kerala NEET 2025 counselling.

  • Visit the official website of Kerala NEET 2025 counselling – cee.kerala.gov.in
  • Click on the KEAM 2025 Candidate Portal
  • Enter the Application Number, Password and Access Code
  • Click on the Option Registration tab
  • Enter as many MBBS and BDS seat options as desired
  • Pay the option registration fee of INR 5,000 in online mode

Centralised Allotment Process (CAP)

This process is divided into two stages: Option registration and seat allotment

Option Registration: Candidates have to choose the institute/course they wish to apply for from the list provided on the official website of CEE. They can select as many options and register them before the deadline.

Seat Allotment: Taking into consideration the choices filled by the candidate and his/her ranking in the state merit list, CEE will allot seats to the candidates. The list of selected candidates will be called the seat allotment list.

Reporting to the institute

Selected candidates, who wish to continue with the seat allotted to them, report to the respective institute to confirm their admission. Their documents will be subjected to a thorough verification and their admission will be confirmed only when the authenticity of these documents is established.

Q:   What are the different stages of the Kerala NEET counselling process?
A: 

The Kerala NEET counselling process involves six steps in total. The step by step procedure to participate in the Kerala NEET counselling process is given below. 

  • Registration: The first and foremost step is to register or apply for the Kerala NEET counselling process. In general, CEE Kerala starts the application process even before the NEET exam is conducted. It is a completely online process wherein candidates have to visit the official website of CEE Kerala, or Kerala NEET and complete the registration and application process. 
  • Uploading NEET scores: After the declaration of the NEET result, CEE Kerala will open the counselling portal to upload candidates' NEET scores. 
  • Merit list: After the submission of NEET scores, CEE Kerala will release the merit list for Kerala NEET counselling, It will consist of the list of eligible candidates.
  • Choice filling: Participants will have to fill the choice of courses and colleges which they wish to take admission to. 
  • Seat allotment result: Based on the choices filled by candidates, CEE Kerala will release the seat allotment result.
  • Institute reporting: Candidates who wish to take admission to the allotted institutes, will have to report to the institutes, or the given venue mentioned by the counselling authorities with the requisite documents. 
Q:   Can candidates submit objections against the seat allotment result of Kerala NEET counselling?
A: 

Yes, candidates are given an opportunity to submit objections or challenges against the Kerala NEET seat allotment result. At first, CEE Kerala releases the provisional seat allotment result. Based on that, candidates can submit objections through email within the stipulated schedule. The counselling authorities will review the objections and release the final seat allotment result. 

Q:   Is there a provision for upgradation of seats after the first round of Kerala NEET UG counselling?
A: 

Yes, after the declaration of the Kerala NEET UG counselling seat allotment result, candidates will be given the option to upgrade the seat choice. Based on that, the counselling authorities will upgrade the seats based on the choices entered by candidates, in case the desired seat is vacant after the institute reporting process is concluded.

How to Apply for Kerala NEET Counselling 2025

To apply for the Kerala NEET 2025 counselling under KEAM 2025, candidates have to follow the steps given below:

  • Visit the CEE Kerala website – cee.kerala.gov.in or directly enter the link - https://www.cee.kerala.gov.in/keamonline2025/instruction

  • Select the mandatory checkboxes and click on the ‘Proceed for Registration’ tab

  • Fill up the mandatory fields

  • Upload the requisite documents or certificates

  • Upload a photograph (150 pixel width and 200 pixel height. File size: 15 kb to 100 kb) and signatures (Dimension: 150-pixel width and 100-pixel height. File size: 10 kb to 100 kb.)

A: 

The application fee for Medical and allied courses for General and SC category candidates is INR 625 and INR 250 respectively. There is no application fee for ST category candidates. The application fee has to be paid in online mode only, which includes Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking.

Q:   Can I register offline for the Kerala NEET counselling?
A: 

No, candidates had to register online to participate in the Kerala NEET counselling process. The counselling process, including the registration, choice filling and locking, as well as the seat allotment result, will be declared on the official website of CEE Kerala. However, the final step, which is the document verification and the admission fee payment process, will be conducted in an offline manner, where candidates will have to visit the institutes for the verification and admission process.

Kerala NEET Counselling 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for Kerala NEET counselling 2025 are stated below:

  • The applicant must be a citizen of India. PIO/OCI can also apply for the counselling of Kerala NEET 2025; however, such candidates are not eligible to claim any reservation.
  • Keralite: All candidates who are domiciled in the state of Kerala will be included in this category. Children of officers in All India Service (AIS), deputed in Kerala were also considered in this category; however, such candidates were not eligible to claim any reservation.
  • Non-Keralite Category I (NK I): A candidate who falls under this category can apply for Kerala NEET counselling 2025 but is not eligible to claim any reservation. To fall under this category, a candidate had to fulfil any of the following requirements:
    • A candidate who has passed class 12 from an institute in Kerala and whose parent(s) is a Government of India employee (currently posted in Kerala)
    • A candidate who has passed class 12 from an institute in Kerala and whose parent(s) is a Government of India employee, who has served in Kerala for a minimum period of two years
    • A candidate who has been a resident of Kerala for five years (during his/her school years)
    • A candidate who has completed Classes 8 to 12 at an institute in Kerala.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for Kerala NEET counselling?
A: 

Candidates will have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria to participate in the Kerala NEET counselling process.

  • Candidates must have passed or appeared for the Class 12 Board exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology with a minimum 50 per cent aggregate (General) or 40 per cent aggregate (SC, ST, OBC, Reserved PWD) or 45 per cent (General-PWD).
  • Appear for the NEET 2025 exam.
  • Candidates must belong to Kerala, or fulfill the Non-Keralite conditions.

Apart from the above-mentioned eligibility criteria, candidates must also fulfill NEET 2025 qualifying cutoff released by NTA.

Q:   What is the fee for the MBBS courses at the medical colleges in Kerala through Kerala NEET counselling?
A: 

The average annual fee for MBBS course in a government medical college of Kerala is around INR 25,000. On the other hand, the average annual fee for MBBS course in a private medical college of Kerala is around INR 6,00,000. The fee aount mentioned here is based on last year's fee amount. The amount may get changed this year. 

Q:   Under what scenarios will the Kerala NEET counselling security deposit be refunded?
A: 

The Kerala NEET counselling security deposit will be refunded in the following scenarios:

  • If the candidate is not allotted a seat
  • If the candidate withdraws from the allotted seat before completing the admission process. 

The refund will be provided after the completion of the Kerala NEET counselling process. 

Q:   What is the application fee of Kerala NEET counselling process?
A: 

The Kerala NEET 2025 counselling registration fee for the General category candidates is INR 625. The registration fee for the Scheduled Caste (SC) category candidates is INR 250. For the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category candidates, there is no application fee required to be paid. The application fee amount for Kerala NEET counselling 2025 has remained the same as last year. 

Q:   What percentage of seats will be allotted to the General category students in Kerala NEET counselling?
A: 

Nearly 60 per cent of the total state quota seats will be allotted to open category students in Kerala NEET counselling. While allotting seats, CEE, or the Kerala NEET counselling authority will consider the reservation criteria of the state while allotting seats to candidates who will exercise their choices. 

Q:   How many seats are available for MBBS and BDS courses through Kerala NEET counselling?
A: 

As per the Kerala NEET counselling seat matrix shared by CEE Kerala, there are around 3,182 MBBS seats and 2,077 BDS seats offered through the State Quota. The seat matrix or number of vacant seats in each course is released before the option registration or choice filling process of the Kerala NEET counselling process. 

Q:   What happens if a candidate does not upload NEET scores in the Kerala NEET counselling form?
A: 

The Kerala NEET counselling registration process is conducted before the NEET exam is conducted. Hence, after the result declaration, candidates are given a chance to upload their NEET scores. In case a candidate does not upload his/her scores, or does not qualify for NEET by securing the cutoff marks, then he/she will not be considered eligible for the Kerala NEET counselling process.

The official website of the Kerala NEET counselling 2025 is the same as that of its conducting authority, which is cee.kerala.gov.in. All the important information, notifications and registration links are provided within this website. Upon visiting the CEE Kerala website, candidates will have to visit the KEAM portal, where information for the Kerala NEET counselling are provided.

Q:   When was the Kerala NEET UG counselling 2025 registration conducted?
A: 

The Kerala NEET UG counselling 2025 registration window was reopened from June 18 to June 23, 2025. Already registered candidates could add courses or category/quota, such as NRI or minority/EWS quota, within this window by logging in with their registration credentials. Originally, the Kerala NEET 2025 counselling registration process started on February 20, 2025. The last date of application was extended from March 10 to March 12, 2025, and the documents had to be uploaded by March 15, 2025. 

Q:   Is it mandatory to appear for KEAM to participate in the Kerala NEET counselling process?
A: 

For admission to MBBS, BDS and other medical or allied courses, candidates must appear for the NEET UG exam. Appearing for KEAM is not necessary to participate in the Kerala NEET counselling process. Although a common registration process is conducted for KEAM and the medical admission, the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala has stated that for admission to MBBS, BDS and allied courses, applicants must appear and qualify for NEET.

Q:   Is it mandatory to pass NEET to apply for Kerala NEET counselling?
A: 

Yes, only those candidates who will qualify for NEET will be eligible to apply for Kerala NEET counselling process. NTA and MCC will send the list of qualifying candidates to each state counselling authorities. The Commissioner of Entrance Exams (CEE) Kerala, the counselling authority of the state will release the merit list, which will carry the names of candidates who have qualified for NEET and eligible to participate in the Kerala NEET counselling process.
