Not always, and this is something most students don't realise. NEET is not mandatory for GNM admission, since it's a Diploma course handled through state nursing council exams or merit-based selection. NEET is mainly needed for BSc Nursing in many colleges, so your path depends on which course you pick.

Candidates who want to select Marathi as NEET question paper medium cannot choose Delhi as their city. As per the NTA guidelines, Marathi medium paper is only available in Maharashtra, Goa or Gujarat.

SMCW provides a 100% academic/ tuition fee waiver exclusively to the top 5 female students who achieve the maximum scores in the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) & also enroll in the 1st year of their MBBS programme. Hence, education becomes almost free for these students. 

As per the Shiksha verified reviews, the ROI is good. The college has been rated 4.2/5 for value for Money.

The  eligibility criteria for MBBS course at Symbiosis Medical College for Women is given below:

  • All admissions are based on the NEET eligibility & counselling by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS)/ Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). 
  • Admissions for first year MBBS programme must be done as per the eligibility guidelines notified by the MCI/ NMC.
  • The students must qualify the NEET examination & his/ her name must appear in an All India Merit List of the qualified students prepared on the basis of All India Rank at NEET (UG) by NTA. The students will be admitted to MBBS programme from the said list only.

The MBBS total tuition course fee at Symbiosis Medical College for Women is INR 54 lakh. For the MD course, it is INR 3 Lacs - INR 64.2 lakh. Students must pay a deposit at the time of admission to confirm their seat. For MBBS admissions, students must pay additional fee like hostel fee of INR 11,78,750 & a one-time fee of INR 50,000 at the time of admission.

Symbiosis Medical College NEET UG cutoff for 2025 has been released across different categories & rounds. For the General AI Female category, the last round closing rank for MBBS admission is 50473. NEET UG 2026 cut off is yet to get released by the college. The re exam will take place on June 21, 2026. Hence, 2026, details will be updated here once out.
