TN Medical Counselling 2026: The TN Medical Selection Committee, DME, has started the registrations for TN Medical round 2 counselling 2026. The Tamil Nadu NEET registration 2026 for round 2 TN Medical selection is being held from September 7 to 8, 2026. The round 2 choice filling window will be open from September 9 to 13, 2026.  The Tamil Nadu virtual vacancies will be announced on September 9.

The Tamil Nadu MBBS counselling is being held for admission to seats under 85% state quota in government medical and dental colleges and 100% private college seats other than deemed universities.

  • TN Medical Counselling 2026 rank list will be released soon for round 2.
  • TN Medical selection result 2026 round 2 will be announced on September 15. 
  • Candidates can download the allotment order and report to colleges for admission from September 15 to 18, 2026.

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling Process 2026

The admission process for the medical and dental colleges in Tamil Nadu state started with the TN NEET UG registration process. All the candidates who cleared NEET 2026 will have to register for the TN NEET counselling 2026. The next step will be submitting the choices for the desired course/college. Based on the preferences submitted online, seats will be allotted to deserving candidates. The steps of Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2026 have been elaborated here. 

TN Medical Counselling 2026 Registration

To enrol for Tamil Nadu Medical counselling, it is mandatory to fill out the application form on the official website, tnmedicalselection.net. The application form for Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2026 is available online. 

Unable to access the online application form?

The application form for Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2026 will be filled out at an e-Seva Kendra. Candidates who are unable to access the online application form for Tamil Nadu NEET 2026 counselling are required to report to the nearest e-Seva Kendra along with all the necessary documents. He/she must be accompanied by a parent and should visit the e-Seva Kendra between 10 am to 5 pm, on a working day.

TN Medical Counselling 2026 Registration Fee

  • To complete the registration process and submit the application form for Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2026, a candidate has to pay a non-refundable registration fee of INR 500 (all categories)
  • Special Category candidates (children of ex-servicemen, eminent sports persons and persons with benchmark disabilities) have to pay an additional amount of INR 100
  • The registration fee can be paid online or through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10” payable at Chennai

TN Medical Counselling 2026 Counselling Schedule

DME will release the date sheet and cut-off for the first round of Tamil Nadu counselling 2026 on its official website. Candidates who qualified as per the NEET cut-off 2026 for MBBS in Tamil Nadu are required to report to the counselling venue on the designated date and time. Such candidates must download their call letters from the official website of DME. Apart from the call letter, candidates need to carry the documents listed below to the counselling venue.

Here is the complete list of documents required for document verification at the time of counselling: 

  • NEET 2026 result/scorecard
  • NEET 2026 admit card
  • Class 10 marksheet
  • Class 11 mark sheet
  • Marksheet of Class 12 or equivalent
  • A bona fide certificate stating that the student has passed from Class 6 to Class 12 from a school in Tamil Nadu
  • A transfer certificate from the school last studied (or) a bonafide certificate should be produced from where the candidate is undergoing the course at present.
  • Nativity certificate (the candidate is a native of Tamil Nadu but has passed Class 6 to Class 12 from an institute outside Tamil Nadu)
  • Aadhar Card
  • Community Certificate (if applicable)
  • Ration card/Passport

Document of parents:

  • Transfer certificate/ SSLC/Class 10/Class 12 Mark Sheet /first graduate certificate/no graduate certificate
  • Community certificate

The fee structure of the college that a candidate desires to apply for plays a crucial role during the choice-filling process. The fee structure for self-financing medical and dental colleges is fixed by the Fee Committee, Government of Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu Medical Counselling 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil the below-mentioned Tamil Nadu NEET eligibility criteria 2026:

  • Candidate must be 17 years old at the time of admission.
  • Candidates must be citizens of India.
  • Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) registered under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act can also apply for Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2026. OCI candidates, however, will be treated as General candidates and will not be eligible to claim reservations under any other category.
  • Candidates must qualify the NEET 2026 exam.
  • They must be a native of Tamil Nadu.
  • A candidate who has passed Class 6  to Class 12 from any other state, but is a native of Tamil Nadu, is eligible.

Who are NOT Eligible for Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling?

  • Candidates belonging to other states and reside in Tamil Nadu cannot claim nativity of state.
  • Candidate who has appeared for NEET UG 2026 as a native of other state cannot claim Tamil Nadu nativity. 
  • Candidates, who are native of other state and studied Class 6 to 12 in other states are not eligible to apply for MBBS & BDS course under the Government Quota.
  • Those pursuing the MBBS/ BDS course in Tamil Nadu or in other states/ countries are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply for the MBBS/ BDS Course once again.
