While studying MBBA at AIIMS Delhi is not free, it does provide extremely reduced tuition as compared to other medical schools. At AIIMS Delhi, the overall cost of pursuing an MBBS degree is extremely low- usually less than INR 6,000 for the full 5.5. year program. A one-time admission fee of INR 5,000 to INR 6,000 is required for all students, in addition to a daily charge of RS 35 for the first 10 days of the program. Furthermore, there are small fees for professional exams, laundry, mess, and dormitory amenities.

The eligibility criteria specify the minimal requirements that applicants to the MBBS programme must meet in order to be admitted. Therefore, in order to be eligible, a candidate needs to have passed English and Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) in a recognised board or university at the Class 12 level or above. A minimum of 50% aggregate (PCBE) for the General Category, 40% for OBC (non-creamy layer), SC, and ST, and 45% for PC in the General Category should also have been achieved by the candidate in the exam.
