Since cutoffs are typically higher, it may be difficult to get an MBBS seat at a government college with a NEET score of about 460. However, you may have opportunities at private medical colleges, depends on your category & state quota. For BAMS the cutoffs are lower than the MBBS, so the chances are significantly better.

Panjab University offers BHMS seats through PU-CET (BHMS), a separate entrance exam. However, NEET is compulsory nationwide for BHMS admission, per regulatory bodies and court rulings. Even if PU-CET is conducted, you must qualify NEET to be eligible under current norms.

The total seat intake for the MBBS course at KUHS is 325. This number of seats is commodiously offered by the university's affiliated colleges. To get a seat in the MBBS course, applicants are required to complete their Class 12 or an equivalent examination qualification with English and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The candidate has also secured aggregate marks not below 50% (relaxation applies for SC/ ST or other reserved categories). It is compulsory to clear the NEET UG exam/ KEAM, followed by a counselling process.
