MICA cutoff is prepared on the basis of multiple factors. MICA Merit List Preparation is a four step process as stated below:
Step 1: Psychometric test) is the first step which is a qualifier.
Step 2: Those who qualify through Psychometric test , their relative performance of CAT/ XAT/ GMAT entrance exam is considered. A minimum cutoff of the best of three scores of any of CAT /XAT total percentile/ GMAT score will considered.
Step 3: Those who qualify based on the CAT/XAT/GMAT performance, their MICAT scores will be assessed.

Along with the exam details, MICA releases MICAT demo, also known as MICAT mock test. Candidates can use the MICAT demo to get aware pf the user experience of the MICAT exam. Each part of the MICAT mock test is clocked on the similar lines to the MICAT exam. Candidates are not allowed to navigate across the three parts of the MICAT mock test. However, functionality to move across four sub sections of the Aptitude Test is provided in the MICAT mock test as well. After end of the sectional time, MICA will automatically submit the responses marked or unmarked by the candidate.

Total number of options in MICAT MCQ type questions change every year. MICA does not specify the number of answer options appearing in MICAT exam.

Candidates taking the MICAT exam will not get the facility to navigate across sections. Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, has three sections as mentioned below:
A: Psychometric Test
B: Descriptive Test
C: Aptitude Test (with four sub-sections)
Candidates answering questions in MICAT's section C get an option to navigate across its sub-sections. Canddidates are allowed to answer questions from any of the four sub-sections in the Aptitude Test. However, once the candidate has submitted responses of Psychometric Test and Descriptive Test, he/she is not allowed to move back to edit the responses of tyhe submitted section.

MICAT Psychometric exam has a total of 150 questions. Candidates may or may not answer all the questions. Psychometric Test is a qualifier exam. Candidates who do not answer all questions in the Psychometric Test may not get the section evaluated. Performance in the Psychometric test is not included while merit preparation for final selection. However, candidates who do not pass the Psychometric test are not considered for evaluation in the subsequent section of the MICAT exam.
