Students looking forward to study at Oakland University in Rochester should know that in early month the temperatures can drop to an average of -9 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees celsius in July. Moreover it can snow in the month of January as well. Meanwhile summers tend to be warm with occasional thunderstorms.

Michigan State has been consistently ranked by ARWU Shanghai ranking body over the years. In the past 3 years, its MSU's ARWU ranking has witnessed a stagnant rank. In the 2025 ranking, the university was ranked at #151 globally and the same was the case for the past some years.
