For undergraduate programmes, Allahabad State University predominantly uses merit-based admissions. The university does, however, administer the Common admission Test (CET), a separate admission exam, for specific programmes, such as those in the professional stream. Various methods will be implemented for the admissions process in each and every programme. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is the basis for admission to undergraduate programmes other than integrated and professional programmes. Merit-based admissions are used for UG and PG integrated programmes. CET-based admissions are used for professional programmes.

Kohinoor Business School (KBS) accepts students on the basis of both merit and admission. Students are accepted into KBS according to how well they do on admission tests that are standardised, such the CAT, MAT, and XAT. 50% is the minimal percentile needed to be admitted to the MMS programme.

Sha-Shib Group follows gudelines from state and central government regulatory bodies like AICTE, DGCA, NCTE, DTE, UGC, and affilated universities for admission to undergraduates, postgraduates, license, and certifiactes course at approved institutes.
Admissions are based on merit and can be found on individual institutes websites.

It depends upon the fact that in which course the candidate is willing to take the admission. The admission procedure is different for all the courses offered by Kingston Educational Institute, Kolkata. For example :-
- Admission to Diploma courses offered at Kingston Polytechnic College is based on the rank secured by candidates in JEXPO, conducted by West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development (WBSCTVESD).
- To take admission in B.Com, BCA and BSc the candidates need to appear in CET (Common Entrance Test) conducted by MAKAUT.
