The Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) offers a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Epidemiology and Public Health, a 2 year postgraduate program.Eligibility includes Candidates must have completed graduation in Biological and Bio-Medical Sciences with a minimum of 60% marks or a 6.5 CGPA for General Category. For OBC a 6.0 CGPA is required, and for SC/ST/PWD a 5.5 CGPA is necessary.Admissions are conducted through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). So kindly prepare for CUET exam by solving previous year question papers.

There is no ranking system yet for top MPH colleges in India. Kindly search MPH Colleges based on Institution of Excellence, University NAAC A+ levels, Top Medical Colleges, QS I Guage Subject based rankings, etc.

MPH does not require huge infrastructure but huge field practice areas, access to data, research projects, etc.

How do you assess good or bad?

Is it based upon future job prospects or Quality?

One answer is Evidence based Prevention of Diseases is the future and there will be increased demand for Public Health in future

Quality wise: MPH Model curriculum developed by MoHFW and recommended by UGC is robust and involved faculty members from UK and USA along with Indian Public Health experts

International Placements are possible but not easy. It is better to do an executive Masters Program or PhD in any niche areas of Public Health to be competitive enough for the jobs abroad. This is because of the lack of accreditation process or equalization for the degrees gained from other countries.
