The NIFT Patna BDes selection process is entrance-based. NIFT conducts a common entrance exam to shortlist candidates for various NIFTs. The exam comprises a General Ability Test (GAT) and a Creative Ability Test (CAT). Based on the performance in the entrance exam, the candidates are shortlisted for the second stage, i.e. a Situation Test. The seat allocation is based on the merit list released by the institute.
