The application process for the 2024-2025 academic year at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) in Bangalore, India began in February 2024. NIMHANS offers a two-year Master of public health (i.e MPH) programme with 10-5 for the sponsored candidates and 5 for the non-sponsored candidates. Admissions requires an MBBS degree or an equivalent qualification. Selection is based on an entrance test, with a qualifying marks of around 50% for UR/OBC/EWS and 45% for SC/ST/Pwd candidates.

To get entry into the B.Sc programme from NIMHANS you have to appear for an entrance exam conducted by the college. First of all check the eligibility which is commonly done after completion of 12th grade with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Candidates must have a degree in a relevant field at the Bachelor's level namely B.Sc. in Nursing, Psychology, Life Sciences, or related disciplines from a recognised university. A minimum of 50% marks is required (45% for SC/ST candidates). Apart from this, candidates applying for M.Sc. in the concerned programme must complete their undergraduate course with prescribed subjects relevant to the M.Sc program. The final selection is based on performance in the written test and interview conducted by NIMHANS. The programme-wise details are to be checked on the official website.
