National Institute of Technology (NIT Silchar)

2. Possibility of admission: Based on the JEE Mains closing rank, admission to NIT Agartala is comparable easier than that to NIT Silchar. In contrast to NIT S, where the final rank for the CE branch was 37548, NIT A had a closing rank of 43737.
3. Infrastructure: The NIT S has a better infrastructure than the NIT A, which lacks amenities like convenience stores. The hostel fee is also less at NIT S than at NIT A.
4. Placement: The NIT S offers B.Tech CE graduates better placement packages than the NIT A; the average salary for the CE branch at the NIT S is approximately Rs. 7.50 LPA, compared to approximately Rs. 6 LPA at the NIT A. For a B.Tech in CE, the cost at both NITs is the same, at Rs. 5 Lacs, and both institutions have top-notch professors. You can therefore choose NIT S over NIT A when receiving JEE counseling.
