The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) does not provide an option to fill and submit the NEET counselling registration or application form in offline mode or send the hardcopy of the form by post. While candidates are allowed to participate in the national and state-level NEET counselling simultaneously, if they are allotted a seat in either of the counselling processes, they cannot participate in the further rounds for both 15 per cent AIQ and 85 per cent State Quota seats. However, if they decide to withdraw from the seat or upgrade it, then they can participate in both counselling types till the time they join a seat.

In general, the institute reporting process is conducted for three to four days for each round of Assam NEET counselling. Candidates will have to check the important dates carefully and report to the institutes within the deadline. In certain cases, the last date of reporting to institutes is extended. There may be a possibility that DME Assam will conduct institute reporting separately for courses or candidate categories.

Yes, after the declaration of the Assam NEET counselling seat allotment result, candidates will be given the option to upgrade the seat choice. Based on that, the counselling authorities will upgrade the seats based on the choices entered by candidates, in case the desired seat is vacant after the institute reporting process is concluded, additional round of counselling will be conducted.

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam will release the seat matrix for Assam NEET counselling 2025 before each round. In the original seat matrix, which was released before Round 1, the total number of seats available for admission was displayed. In the later rounds, the seat matrix will indicate the number of vacant seats for that particular round. The seat matrix will help candidates in the choice filling process.
