There are two types of NEET counselling: state counselling and central, or national counselling. The Medical Counselling Committee, or MCC, is in charge of NEET central counselling. The MCC administers the NEET counselling procedure for admission to the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Conversely, for the 85% of state quota seats, NEET state counselling is carried out by State Authorities or the Education Department of individual states. The NEET counselling for MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc. Nursing programmes is handled by MCC. The State Counselling Authorities, on the other hand, handle admissions for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, and other related

Yes, candidates can edit details in their NEET form through the online mode by visiting the official website – (ntaneet.nic.in). To make changes, one must know their application number and password. Following the release of the NEET 2024 results, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will publish the NEET 2024 counselling dates, most likely in July 2024. Last year, the MCC released the NEET counselling dates exactly one month after the NEET results were made public. The state medical authority will handle the counselling process for the 85% of state-quota seats. The state and federal deadlines for submitting admissions applications differed. Four to six rounds of NEET counselling are required for admission to medical and allied programmes, such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS, and BSc Nursing.

No, the candidate will have to take the "upgraded" seat if they receive a better option and the seat that was previously assigned to them would be cancelled. Anyhow, the "upgrade" candidate will not be permitted to hold the original seat. The candidate must therefore use extreme caution while selecting the "upgrade" option.

CENTAC will announce the dates for institute reporting separately for each round. In general, the institute reporting process is conducted for three to four days for each round. Candidates will have to check the important dates carefully and report to the institutes within the deadline. In certain cases, the last date of reporting to the institutes is extended. There may be a possibility that CENTAC Puducherry will conduct institute reporting separately for courses or candidate categories.
