NEET PG counselling 2023 round 3 dates and schedule have been announced by MCC. Registration and choice filling for NEET PG round 3 counselling 2023 has begun on September 22. Decision to revise NEET PG 3rd round counselling has been taken days after Ministry of Health reduced cut off to zero for all category. "Candidates who have become freshly eligible can register and participate in Round-3 of counselling. The candidates who are already registered need not register again. However, they will be allowed to edit their choices," MCC had said. Deadline for round-3 registration and choice filling is September 25. Registration fee can be paid till 3 pm, September 25. Medical Counselling Committee 9MCC) will declare seat allotment result for NEET PG 3rd round counselling 2023 on September 28. The seat allotment result will be uploaded online based on choice of college and course declared by candidates. NEET PG counselling result comprises details such as allotted institute and course, category, overall rank etc. Candidates allotted seats in counselling rounds have to report for document verification.

Only candidates who qualify NEET PG with the minimum cut off percentile are eligible to participate in the seat allotment process. NEET PG counselling comprises online registration, fee payment, choice declaration, seat allotment result, and reporting. It must be noted that MCC conducts counselling for 50% All India Quota seats while respective state counselling authorities will be conducting counselling for rest 50% AIQ seats. MCC conducts total 4 rounds of counselling for seat allotment in deemed, central universities, 50% AIQ seats, and 50 State quota seats.

Candidates have to register online and declare choices for participating in the counselling process. Registration can be done on the official website of MCC, mcc.nic.in. For registration, candidates have to login with email ID and mobile number and fill application form. Candidates can declare n number of choices based on their preference of college and course. It must be noted choices must be saved and locked before the deadline as there is no option to change the choices after the deadline. Choices are automatically locked after the last date.

Q:   Who will be eligible for NEET PG 2023 counselling rounds?

A:
Candidates who qualify NEET PG exam with minimum cutoff marks as decided by NBE will be eligible to participate in the counselling. The qualifying cut off varies as per the category. No, online registration for NEET PG counselling is a one-time process. Those who have already registered once don't need to register again. Only those candidates who have not registered themselves during round 1 need to register for the round 2/mop-up round. Registration can be done in any round except last one on the official website. Choice filling for NEET PG 2023 counselling round-2

NEET PG 2023 Counselling Process

Those who qualify NEET PG 2023, securing the minimum cut off percentile are eligible to participate in the counselling process. NEET PG counselling is conducted for admission to 50% All India Quota seats and 100% deemed/central universities, ESIC, and AFMS seats. A total of four rounds of NEET PG counselling 2023 will be conducted by MCC for the above-mentioned seats. The respective State authorities will conduct counselling for the remaining 50% AIQ seats. The counselling process starts with online registrations and ends with candidates reporting to the allotted institute with all the documents.

The counselling of NEET PG is conducted for admission to the following quotas:

  • 50% All India Quota seats

  • 50% State Quota seats

  • Armed Forces Medical Services

  • Deemed Universities

  • Central Universities (DU, AMU, BHU)

  • ESIC colleges

NEET PG counselling Process

Step 1: Registration

Candidates who wish to participate in the counselling for NEET PG 2023 have to register on the official website of MCC. New registrations are accepted before each round. However, candidates who have registered once for NEET PG counselling 2023 do not need to register for the second time.

Steps to register for the counselling of NEET PG 2023 have been listed below:

  • Go to the official website on MCC-mcc.nic.in
  • Click on ‘PG Medical Counselling’
  • Register using a valid email ID and mobile number
  • Note down the login credentials
  • Login again to fill the application form
  • Enter personal/academic details
  • Check the form before final submission

Step 2: Registration fee

  • To participate in the counselling of NEET PG 2023, a candidate needs to pay the registration fee
  • The registration fee for NEET PG 2023 counselling has to be paid online (Net banking/credit card/debit card)
  • There are two components of the registration fee, refundable and non-refundable

Choice filling

Candidates now have to choose the desired course and colleges from the list given on MCC. Candidates can choose as many options as they want. The options will be given on the left side of the screen and will move to the right side of the page once chosen. Options can be added or deleted from the list. Candidates are advised to check the choices filled before submitting them as the seat allocation will be done on the basis of the same. Candidates should lock the choice otherwise it will be automatically locked after the due date. Also, they must keep a copy of the choices filled for future use.

How to fill the choice for NEET PG seat allotment 2023

  • Go to the MCC website and log in through registration credentials
  • Fill the choice of college and course for NEET PG seat allotment 2023
  • Click on ‘+’ button to add a new choice
  • For rearranging the order of choice filled, just drag it to the desired position
  • Click on ‘save and next’ to lock the final choices as desired by candidates

Seat allotment Result

MCC releases the result of NEET PG counselling in the form of a seat allotment list. The result PDF comprises details of the candidate, rank secured, the course or the institute allotted to her/him, and remarks. After the registration process for the first round for NEET PG counselling, MCC will start seat allotment processing. Seats will be allocated based on the options filled by the candidates, their all India ranks, reservation criteria, availability of seats and other aspects. MCC will upload the NEET PG seat allotment list on its official website in PDF format. Candidates who make it to the list can download their seat allotment letter by logging into the registered account on the official website.

Candidates who will be allocated a seat in the counselling of NEET PG 2023 will have to report to the allocated institute. They must carry all their certificates in original along with a self-attested copy. Candidates must pay the required fee to secure their seats during the counselling process. List of documents that a candidate must carry to the allocated institute is given below.

Candidates must note that it is mandatory for them to be present physically for verification of documents and confirmation of the allocated seat. If they fail to report to the allocated institute, their candidature will be forfeited.

Q:   When will MCC conduct NEET PG 2023 counselling?

A:

MCC has announced revised dates for NEET PG 3rd round counselling 2023. According to the schedule, registration and choice filling for Round 3 NEET PG 2023 counselling has started on September 22. The last date for round-3 registration is September 25. MCC will declare round-3 seat allotment result for NEET PG counselling 2023 on September 28. It must be noted the round-3 schedule has been revised after reduction of NEET PG 2023 cut off to zero for all category. Candidates have to register online to participate in the counselling. Registration can be done on the official website, mcc.nic.in. Registered candidates also have to declare choice for college and course for seat allotment. Choices have to be locked in the given deadline. A separate seat allotment result is declared for each round.

A:

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will be conducting NEET PG 2023 counselling for 50% All India Quota Seats. Respective state authorities conduct conselling for rest 50% seats. Candidates will have to register online to participate in NEET PG 2023 counselling. Registration can be done on the official website, mcc. Nic. In. MCC has not released dates for NEET PG 2023 counselling yet. The counselling schedule is expected to be out anytime soon.

Q:   Where will the counselling of NEET PG 2023 be conducted?

A:

The counselling of NEET PG is an online process. Thus, candidates need not to go anywhere for the counselling process. However, candidates do need to report to the institute allocated to them for confirmation of their admission. As DNB-CET was scrapped, admission to the post-MBBS DNB broad speciality courses is now based on the performance of a candidate in NEET PG. NEET PG 2023 Reservation Criteria

The final seat allocation will be done considering the reservation criteria for NEET PG 2023 exam. The government has announced 27 per cent OBC quota and 10 per cent EWS quota for admission through 50 per cent All India Quota seats. Seats are already reserved for SC, ST and PwD candidates in AIQ. These candidates will have to produce relevant certificates to take the benefit of the NEET PG 2023 reservation criteria while seeking admission.

NEET PG 2023 Counselling Round 1: Options to Choose

The counselling for round-1 seat allotment had started on July 27. Final seat allotment result for NEET PG counselling 2023 round-1 was declared on august 8. After the seat allotment result for the first round NEET PG 2023 counselling, candidates have to choose the options based on their status. They have to choose out of the following options to give their accent to participate in the next round of counselling for NEET PG 2023. 

Option 1: This is termed as 'free exit'. The seat allotted to a particular candidate during NEET PG counselling 2023 round one gets automatically cancelled if he/she don't report to the allotted institute within the given duration of time.

Option 2: The candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted to him/her in round one of NEET PG 2023 counselling and reports to the allocated colleges within the given timeframe to secure the seat.

Option 3: Those who are not satisfied with the allotted seat in the first round can opt for the up-gradation of seats and participate in the next round of counselling. If a seat is not upgraded in the second round of NEET PG 2023 counselling, the seat allotted in the first round will be retained.

Q:   If I opt to participate in the second round of NEET PG counselling, will the seat allocated to me in the first round be cancelled?

A:
If you are allotted a seat in the second round of NEET PG counselling, then only the seat allocated to you in the first round will be cancelled. However, if you are not allocated a seat in the second round, you will retain the earlier allocated seat. MCC conducts 4 rounds of counselling for seat allotment. Candidates have to register on the official website to participate in the counselling process. Registration can be done in all rounds except the last one. NEET PG 2023 result was announced on March 14.

Q:   How can I get a printout of my choices in NEET PG which the system has locked?

A:
Candidates can take a printout of the choices filled by them by clicking on "Print Lock Choice" available on the left-hand side of the page. This option will available to the candidates after the specified time of the last date of choice locking. It must be noted candidates can declare n number of choices for seat allotment. Candidates are advised to lock the choices otherwise it will be locked automatically after the due date and no change can be done after the same. Seats will be allotted based on the choices declared, seats availability in particular course and college, and other factors.

NEET PG Round 2 counselling 2023

The process for NEET PG second round counselling 2023 is similar to that of the first round. In this round, new candidates who didn't participate in the first round will have to register and pay the registration fee. Those who have already registered during round one, don't need to register again. But the choice filling is mandatory to every candidate irrespective of the fact whether they declare the choice in the first round of NEET PG 2023 counselling. 

Who can participate in NEET PG 2023 round two counselling?

  • Those who didn't get any seat in NEET PG counselling 2023 round one
  • Seat allotted in round one but it got cancelled in the physical document verification process
  • If a candidate wants to upgrade his allotted seat in the NEET PG round one counselling 2023
  • Candidates who choose 'free exit' option or did not participate in round one counselling.

NEET PG Counselling 2023: The Mop-up Round

The mop-up round of NEET PG 2023 counselling will be conducted for seat allotment in deemed, central universities and ESIC institutes. Candidates who exited in counselling rounds one and two by not reporting to the college allotted to them will have to register for the NEET PG mop-up counselling 2023. Those who didn't get any seat in either round one or two of NEET PG counselling 2023, don't need to register again for the mop-up round. All the candidates will have to fill fresh choices of colleges/courses in this round for the seat allotment process. The seat allotment result for the mop-up round will be published on the official website.

Q:   Will candidates who were not allotted seats in either round one or two had to register for NEET PG 2023 mop up round?

A:
No, such candidates don't need to register again. Only those who have not registered, need to register for seat allotment. Candidates who have not allotted seats despite registration in round-1 or round-2, they only have to exercise choice for mop-up round NEET PG counselling 2023. Seats will be allotted based on choice declared and other factors. MCC will notify dates for NEET PG 2023 counselling soon on its official website.

Q:   When will MCC declare round-3 seat allotment result for NEET PG 2023 counselling?

A:

MCC will declare NEET PG 2023 counselling round 3 result on September 28 as per the revised schedule. Earlier, the round-3 seat allotment result was to be declared on September 16 but it was delayed. Later NEET PG 2023 cut off was reduced to zero to make more candidates eligible for round-3 seat allotment. Registration for round 3 counselling can be done from September 22 to September 25. Choices has to be declared till September 25. Candidates allotted seats in round-3 counselling will have to upload documents online. They also have to report physically to the allotted institute for document verification and to complete other admission formalities. The reporting deadline for round-3 counselling is October 6.

Q:   What is the last date to declare choices for round-3 NEET PG 2023 counselling?

A:

According to revised schedule, the last date to declare choice for round 3 NEET PG 2023 counselling is September 25. The choice filling process will start on September 22. Candidates have to login with registration ID and password to declare choices. It must be noted choice can be modified (edit/add/delete) any number of times till the deadline. Choices for NEET PG counselling must have to be saved and locked otherwise it gets automatically locked after the last date. MCC NEET PG 2023 round-3 seat allotment result will be declared on September 28.

Q:   Whether up-gradation is allowed from round 2 of NEET PG 2023 counselling of Deemed/ Central Universities to mop up round?

A:
No, up-gradation is not allowed once a candidate accepts the seat allotted in round 2 NEET PG 2023 counselling and joins the institute. Upgradation is only allowed in round-1 when candidates who have opted for upgradation after participation in the next round of NEET PG 2023 counselling. Candidates have to register on the official website and declare choices for seat allotment. Total 4 rounds of NEET PG 2023 counselling will be held for seat allotment.

No. NBE doesn't release the official question paper for NEET PG exam. Candidates are not allowed to reveal the content of the test paper as they have to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) while applying for the exam.
