Nelson Mandela University ranking in the world is above 1000 by some ranking bodies. It ranks at #1201–1500 in world by THE Rankings 2026. Whereas, in US News Ranking,  NMU ranks at #1259 in 2026. According to Shiksha rankings,  the university ranks #819 in the world.
