Yes, it is right to pursue a CS branch in any IIIT rather than a core branch in DTU/NSUT/NIT until and unless you are interested in any of the core branches as I am more interested in Industrial engineering so I've chosen it over any other branch.

You can get low-level NIT in the CSAB round (outside Delhi). But it's a hard call very few chances.

Yes, you'll probably get the IT or Software Engineering in 4th round or definitely in Spot Round.
