NIMCET syllabus focuses more on the theoretical and problem solving work of the students while BSc IT/BTech CS are more leaning into skill based and practical syllabus. Many topics which are known to be more theoretical are hence included into NIMCET syllabus while they are skipped from BSc IT/BTech understandably. 

Along with the NIMCET admit card, candidates need to carry at least one photo identity card proof along with them. Yes, papers will be provided to the NIMCET candidates for doing rough work or calculations. Candidates have to submit the same at the end of the exam to the invigilators. The authorities released the NIMCET exam pattern along with the brochure on the official website. With the help of the exam pattern, candidates will be able to check details on the pattern in which the NIMCET paper is structured and also the marking scheme. It is advised for the candidates to check the exam pattern and strategize accordingly for the preparation of the NIMCET exam.
