Yes, papers will be provided to the NIMCET candidates for doing rough work or calculations. Candidates have to submit the same at the end of the exam to the invigilators. The authorities released the NIMCET exam pattern along with the brochure on the official website. With the help of the exam pattern, candidates will be able to check details on the pattern in which the NIMCET paper is structured and also the marking scheme. The eligibility criteria to appear in NIMCET is

• Candidate must have passed any UG programme of minimum three years duration with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects 

OR

• BE/ BTech from a recognised University/Institution
• Candidate must have at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST/PwD) in graduation

Candidate who are appearing in the final year exam of their graduation are also eligible to appear in exam however they need to submit the pass certifiate at the time of admission in the institute. 

Sorry to say, but I don't think you'll get a seat in the university is Hyderabad. As per official website they have limited seat for OBC category and 4604 is very low rank as some student first choice after NIT'S is UOH it's full these seat at rank around 1000

As you say you are from a ST category then I must say yes. You get a chance of having a lower NIT's or may be NITBhopal/kurukshetra if you are lucky.

Wait for 2nd and 3rd round, you'll definitely get any of the NITs.
