Hello Jeevan,
NITs are premiere institutes to pursue engineering even if you get the lower ones. NIT Agartala is quite good college and placement are also pretty much satisfying. The average package of chemical engineering is around 3.5-5 Lakhs per annum. Major chemical engineering recruiter's at NIT Agartala:-

- Placement wise mechanical and CS are the safest branch of NIT Agartala. If you are good you will surely land up multiple offers with many companies. You will have an opportunity to sit for prestigious companies like Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum, Tata Motors, Maruti, Ashok Leyland, Fiat, Tata Technologies, L&T and many more. Do not depend solely on professors, be your own teacher and gain training experience, attend workshops, get good internships.

There is uncertainty regarding any branch. Maybe you can get bio engineering but if you belong to SC or ST category you might get some core branches as well.
